Friends of Thorndale Farm
Friends of Thorndale Farm is a separately organized tax-exempt public charity under Internal Revenue Code (IRC) Section 501 (c) (3). Under Section 501 (c) (3), its expressed exempt purposes are charitable and educational. Contributions made to Friends of Thorndale Farm are deductible under IRC Section 170. A financial statement is available upon written request to the Virginia Office of Charitable
and Regulatory Programs.
The Mission of Friends of Thorndale Farm
The Mission of Friends of Thorndale Farm is twofold:
- To engage in and support community focused charitable works, projects, partnerships, programs, and events that aid those in need.
- Through the vehicles of agritourism, public and private partnerships, Virginia based film production, and the Virginia film industry provide support for and promote local, regional, state, and national awareness and appreciation for Virginia’s rich history, historical landmarks and resources, and the value in historic preservation by elevating public awareness through film, educationally based film projects, programs, events, and support for the arts.
In partnership with Thorndale Farm LLC, Friends of Thorndale Farm may hold private and public fundraising events throughout the year to promote its mission. Thorndale Farm is a Virginia Landmarks Register and National Register of Historic Places landmark.
